This Blog is dedicated to my dad who showed me everything I know. He has been gardening since I was very young. He has planted a huge garden and shared his produce with his children and family for over 50 years. He will be 75 this year and he is still out-doing me.

FREEZING HERBS
Freezing herbs is an easy way to preserve your fresh summer herbs.
Cut, wash and air dry your fresh herbs.
I use fresh basil leaves, rosemary, chives, parsley, & thyme. I also include fresh garlic.
Place herbs in food processor with garlic and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Grind herbs into pesto.
Scoop ground herbs into small freezer containers.
I like to use ice cube trays.
Freeze herbs, remove from trays after 24-48 hrs of freezing. Place into zip freezer bags for easy use.
I use the herb cubes in soup, pasta and sauce.
